The Healthy Schools Award.

We have three focus areas we have worked hard to improve: healthy food awareness, physical activity and the school environment.

Health 2

At our school, believe that we can improve by involving ourselves in beat competancy and physical activity. Staff and children have recently been involved in pilates sessions.

We are always aiming to improve physical activity in school and we are a member of the Fareham School Sports Partnership - please watch this space for a new link.

We have two good after school activity clubs. Year 2 children can join in dance club and Brazillian Football club is open to children in year 1 and 2.

Health 4

We see the 'Healthy Schools' ethos as cross curricular and an increasingly important part of our learning at Ranvilles.

Health 6

The School Council meets once a term to discuss questions raised by children from every class.

Health 5

Health 1

We are part of the Hampshire fruit and veg scheme for schools and the children can have a fruit or veg snack every morning. All year groups have built a health based project into the curriculum.

Some surprising thoughts on food....

We love our outdoor play areas and we have fresh water to drink in every classroom.

Health 3

We try to improve our minds as well as our bodies with 'Philosophy for Children' sessions each week.
