At Ranvilles Infant School, we inspire children to be curious, confident and enthusiastic scientists through a hands-on, enquiry-based approach to learning. Our science curriculum encourages children to explore, question, investigate and discover the world around them through practical experiences, observation and meaningful scientific enquiry. Through carefully sequenced learning, children develop both scientific knowledge and the skills needed to think and work scientifically, using appropriate vocabulary to explain their ideas and findings. We foster a love of discovery by providing opportunities for children to test their own ideas, solve problems and explore their local environment. By the time they leave Ranvilles Infants School, children see themselves as scientists: inquisitive, independent learners who are excited by the wonders of the world and equipped with strong foundations for future scientific learning
