Phonics and spelling lessons are taught daily.These sessions are between 20 and 30 minutes in length depending on the age of the children. Children take part in practical and engaging lessons where there is an emphasis on developing reading and spelling skills. We teach phonics using the 'Little Wandle Revised Letters and Sounds' scheme. We use 'Big Cat' phonically decodable books throughout the school.
